Experience the ultimate Mount Rinjani adventure with our 4 Days 3 Nights Summit & Lake trekking package — the most complete and rewarding Rinjani experience. Starting from Sembalun Village (1,156 m) and finishing at Senaru Village (601 m), this trek offers the perfect balance of challenge and enjoyment.
Conquer the summit of Mount Rinjani (3,726 m) at sunrise — one of Indonesia's most iconic volcanic peaks — with breathtaking panoramic views stretching across Lombok, Bali's Mount Agung, and the Gili Islands. Then descend to the tranquil Segara Anak Lake (2,010 m), a crescent-shaped crater lake where you can swim, relax, and soak in natural hot springs believed to have healing properties.
Unlike shorter itineraries, this 4‑day trek gives you more time to acclimatize, explore, and absorb the stunning landscapes without feeling rushed. You'll spend two nights on different crater rims — Sembalun Crater Rim and Senaru Crater Rim — each offering unique, jaw-dropping views of the lake and summit from opposite sides.
Your journey takes you through diverse terrain: from open savannah grasslands and tropical rainforests to volcanic scree slopes. Along the way, you'll encounter wildlife including long-tailed monkeys, ebony leaf monkeys, and various bird species. Every evening ends with a spectacular sunset and a sky full of stars at 2,600+ meters.
With See You Rinjani's experienced, English-speaking guides and dedicated porter team, you trek with confidence — we handle all logistics, camping gear, meals, and permits. You just focus on the climb.

🟢 DAY 1 — Sembalun Village → Plawangan Sembalun Crater Rim
The Savanna Ascent
Your adventure begins in the cool morning air of Sembalun Village (1,156m), a picturesque settlement nestled in a vast volcanic valley surrounded by rolling green hills. After a light breakfast and briefing, you'll set foot on the trail — the first hours winding through iconic savanna grasslands with panoramic views of Mount Rinjani's majestic peak dominating the horizon.
The terrain begins gently, allowing you to warm up as you pass through Pos 1 and Pos 2, where you might spot wild cows grazing and the occasional long-tailed monkey. After Pos 3 (Pada Balong), the real climb begins — a steady, challenging ascent through increasingly sparse vegetation as you approach the treeline.
By late afternoon, you'll reach Plawangan Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639m) — your campsite for the night. As the sun sets behind Mount Agung in Bali, watch the sky explode in brilliant orange, pink, and purple over Segara Anak Lake far below, with the smouldering cone of Gunung Barujari rising from the crater. This is one of the most spectacular sunset views in Indonesia.
